I think next week marks my 1 year anniversary of making these mixes. These (almost) weekly adventures have definitely become a labor of love. It's been more than a learning process and I still think I still have a lot more ground to cover to actually consider myself a 'real dj'.

One of these days I will actually attempt to stay out of the 128 bpm range. I promise! LOL. This week brings you on a little journey with a "proggy-tech-pop" edge. I've got peaks and valleys galore and believe it or not, there are actual VOCALS in all of the tracks I chose too! The fun one that stands out is the Mary Jane Girls cover of 'Boys' by Lex Empress. Oh yeah, I have a thing for the pretty and ethereal vocals too. Tell me what you think.

Yeah, I'm telling you that this episode took me FOREVER (and over 3 days) to finish! The songs were just a tad bit more complicated and sequencing them correctly was a b*tch. Oh well, it's the end of summer and I can safely say that I did absolutely nothing interesting. Ha! I'm actually gearing up to go to Toronto next week for my baby brother's wedding. Hopefully I can swing in a detour to NYC to visit one of my best friends too.

The title of this mix will only make sense to those of you from the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Just read it as: FOR EVERYBODY. It's just a reference to particular 'dialect' that is native to the region. LOL. In anycase, the tracks in this mix are simply that. Something for everybody! Coming true to form, I've put in classics to vocals to tribal to some fidgety-house to some circuit anthem gems and then some in this mix. I really REALLY think that I'm topping out here and this is definitely not the best thing that I've put together. Maybe I need some new ideas or something. Maybe I just need to get out more. I'm featuring a 90's-esque mix for you this week. Most, if not all, of these tracks originally came out in the early-mid 90's during the heyday of my club kid youth. Believe it or not, I was a 'baby gay' at one point too you know! LOL.

I was actually listening to this today in the car. I had the convertible top down and took a 3 hour joyride around the city all the while thinking about all of the drama happening in my life now. There just seems to be a lot of downs going on lately. Suffice to say (without boring you with the details), I just need to force myself to turn things around. Thinking about this particular time with my music selection brings back a lot of good memories. It's all about werQing it all out, right?

I haven't been feeling all that creative lately. My mind has been all over the place and think it's trickling down to my mixing projects lately. I literally have 1000's of tracks to work with and for some reason I'm just gravitating to a certain few. I always tell myself that I need to get out more. Maybe I should take my own advice.

This episode kind of on the harder side and a little fast but eases down nicely towards the end. Comments are always appreciated.
